Eric Shapiro, Writer/Director
"Having worked with Ian McGlocklin multiple times, I can say with full confidence that his cinematography talent would be an asset to any film production under the sun, from giant Hollywood blockbusters to cutting-edge indies. Whatever the substance of the film at hand, Ian finds the ideal visual grammar to match it, furnishing smoldering images that penetrate the viewers' eyes and hit the sweetest spot in their brains. He not only serves up precisely what the director's after, he doubles down on that vision and cracks open its innermost soul."
Rosemary Rodriguez, Director
“Ian McGlocklin is a collaborator of the best kind...he is smart, creative, and works his ass off, often stepping beyond what's asked of him."
Liz Bronstein, Producer
"Ian is an incredible DP. He is always my first call. He has a unique eye, he’s fearless, tireless and always brings back gold."
Stephen Fromkin, Producer
“Aside from his fantastic skill set, Ian brings an positive energy to set everyday. Even under some of the tougher production situations, he finds a way to do great work with a smile on his face.”
Andrew Mudge, Director
“Ian has a great eye for shot composition and isn’t afraid to experiment with new ideas. He is technically savvy, sharp as a tack, and passionate about the art of cinematography. If not for his boundless energy and work ethic, I have serious doubts that I could have completed making Gabriel y Gato [ for the Chrysler Million Dollar Film Festival Competition ].”
Ben Selkow, Director
"Having filmed all over the world with Ian, I can say without a doubt he's one of the most creative, fearless and collaborative cinematographer's that I have had the honor of working with."
Douglas Elford-Argent, Director
"With so many options, choosing a DP for your feature film is the hardest and most important decision a director can make. When I decided to shoot my latest film in Mexico City, Ian McGlocklin was my top pick. He not only came from an extensive traveling background, but we clicked on set immediately. With no 1st AD and a skeleton crew, we still managed to have fun and completed each day with ease. The film finished on time and under budget. I would recommend him in a heartbeat to other directors"
